Crested Butte, Seasons, and Stuff

My friend, and uber talented landscape/lifestyle photographer, Kelly Cavillo (@kellycavillo) and I recently planned a little trip in the hopes of catching the last of the Aspens before the short Colorado fall came to an end....

We succeeded.

After a solid sunset sesh with some insane pinks across the sky, we headed back to our site and scarfed down some michelin star ramen courtesy (courtesy of a roadside gas station). As any good night in the mountains is spent, we knocked back some whiskey while enjoying the warmth of a campfire till we decided some sleep might be nice before a sunrise wake up.

After a solid sunrise and some much needed coffee, we took off for some off-road fun where we unexpectedly made some four-legged friends, ran into a snowstorm, and found a waterfall.

All in all, yet another reminder of what makes Colorado so damn great.

Cabin Kids

Recently I was lucky to be invited with some of my favorite people in the world to spend a couple days doing a lot of nothing at magical cabin on Electra Lake outside of Durango, CO. Laughing, lounging, drinking, and whole lot of contemplation dominated the weekend in the most delightful way.

Every morning we'd all slowly crawl from our sleepy dreams in various forms of flannel to see some of the loveliest ladies on the planet made an amazing breakfast, a hot brew of coffee, and a setup for your choice of mimosa or bloody mary.

Partying at night, fishing during the day. Cliff jumping, paddle boarding. And a lot of just existing together as people that care about each other and the life we're each trying to live. It was a hell of a weekend and can't wait for the next one.

Steamboat Springs and Secret Waterfalls

Not that summer ever gets that hot here in Denver, but it's always killer to escape to some cool mountain air for a bit. Jacqueline (@jacgrimsley) took an impromptu trip after a night of beers and drove up to Steamboat for some maximum chill.

I always love just picking a random dirt road and exploring where it goes, so we pulled off along Rabbit Ear Pass and explored some rocks and streams and general mountainy stuff.

Eventually we made our way to Steamboat for some more river walking, tourist watching, and of course, some bomb-ass milkshakes at Johnny B Good's (great burgers too).

After a day of solid river lounging, we headed up into the national forest to scope out this secret waterfall we heard about from some locals and suffice to say, it was epic.
